Hey everyone,
I recently moved from the outskirts of Jefferson County to right near downtown Louisville, and my car insurance premium jumped more than I expected. I figured I'd ask around here—anyone have tips for lowering rates after relocating to the city core?
I know higher traffic, theft risk, and tighter parking all factor into urban pricing. But surely there are a few ways to bring the numbers back down?
Here’s what I’ve considered so far:
Looking into bundling policies
Raising my deductible slightly
Installing anti-theft devices
Taking a defensive driving course
Has anyone actually seen good results from any of these in downtown Louisville?
Also, when I compared car insurance quotes Louisville KY, some providers seemed more "city-friendly" than others. Would love to hear which ones are giving solid rates to people living in urban neighborhoods like Old Louisville, Butchertown, or Nulu.
Thanks in advance for the help!
